Add skills to the database

Add spells to the database

POI :
- add a owner history (for city / hamlets)

Search :
- check against more fields (like comments)
- upgrade the filter

Clan :
- Need to add a form so people can ask to become the clan manager

- Update account page so the manager can update clan information

Hi there. Can you set me up a section for enchanting? I was about to add a whole bunch of enchanting info, but i need a better format.

Make it like,

Effect Reagent 1 Reagent 2 Reagent 3 Catalyst Or something. But yea you can shoot me an email when its up so i can get adding!

Yeah, your enchanting list leaves a bit to be desired for.

a few idea's:

- Select base item
- Select Foruma 1/2 or Transmutation
- Name of result
- Catalyst
- Ingredient 1,2,3

Show a list of all 3 ingredients with their Q2,Q3,Q4 and Q5 counterparts.

so Heart, bile, Cinder wouldr result in a list

Heart - Bile - cinder
Hag Heart - Sarlid Bile - Reptile Cinder
etc..
etc..
etc..

I agree with everything you've suggested there Temko except the list for different quality enchant items, when multiple sources of specific quality items are avaliable it might become a bit of a mess i.e. Severii Bone and Giant bone are both rank 3.

Seeing as you can mix and match different quality ingredients as long as you have the skill to use them is it really required to list them all under each item?

Maybe a sub category for each enchanting ingredient but its just as easy to search the database if your looking for something specific, a search for bile returns all qualitys of bile

- selecting base item can all ready be done. Enchanting is divided into categories which reflects the base items.
- Select Foruma 1/2 or Transmutation, not sure what you mean with this.
- Name of result, i assume that is the name of the enchant. Can be done
- Catalyst and ingredients can be added by using the composition. If they need to be in a specific order then say it, cause that needs to be fixed then.

Regarding quality of items, does that not effect the quality of the enchant ? Meaning better resists/damage or whatever ? We could perhaps add something like that depending on the quality used, if there is a consistency in it.

Ravah added some enchants to the list allready, check them out and comment on it if something is not working properly or is awkward

Temko added the current enchants, i just approved them smile. There are 3 options for enchants,
Formula 1 - Banes, Keeness, and some staff enchants
Formula 2 - Resists, Stat bonuses, keeness and staff enchants
Transmutation - Elemental weapons and staffs

As far as the base item goes im guessing he means certain enchants can only be placed on certain types of equipment, i.e. baneful enchants can only be placed on weapons, some enchants can only go on staves and other enchants can go on armor/jewelery and weapons.

The Transmutes are fine for base item as they are but formula 1 and 2 enchants and the items they can be placed on wouldn't be identified correctly with the current options avaliable.

Your correct about the quality but im not sure what effect mix and match of different quality items has on the bonuses or how great an effect the rank of the base item used effects the final outcome, maybe Temko can provide more information

I've been thinking about this a bit and I dont think the current structure needs to change. If categorys are added for the following:
Formula 1 - Melee Weapons
Formula 1 & 2 - Melee Weapons
Formula 2 - Armor/Weapons/Staffs
.....

and so on then the name of the item can just be the effect applied and the rest of the item can be created as normal.

Is this an acceptable solution or no?

Im not a enchanter, so i find it a bit hard to follow.

But, ravah your moderatoe so you can change the profession categories (add and edit). If you need to delete some, just ask me. Ill talk to you on ventrilo if i get on at the same time as you !

lets see if i can explain this...


Enchanting has several important details that are often overlooked but are very important, if you could include these (automaticly if possible) in the list, that would be great.


1 - The following item types can be enchanted.

Weapons of all types except starting weapons
Rings, Necklaces can be enchanted
Shields can be enchanted
Chest pieces and Helmets can be enchanted.

these are the only types of items that can be enchanted. that means no arms, legs, gloves, robes, pants or whatnot.


Enchanting is divided in 3 slots on your enchanting Workbench.

Formula 1
Formula 2
Transmutation

Only weapons (and staffs) have the full range available.
rings, necklaces and armour pieces/shields can only be enchanted with "Formula 2".

what does this mean?

if i have a sword. i can enchant it with with 3 different enchant. 2 foruma's and a transmutation.

if i have a shield. i can only enchant it with 1 enchant. a formula 2.


Formula 1 and 2 do NOT have different enchantments. any enchantment that works on formula 2, works on formula 1.
so i can enchant a sword with +str (might) on formula 2. and create a sword of might. i can do the same with a sword and do formula 1. and get a Mighty Sword.

i can do the same with several enchants. like for example

a fire sword transmutation (sunblade) and a +damage (keennes) and a +Str (might)
resulting in a Keen Sunblade of Might.

that means i did the following. Keenness in formula 1. Might in formula 2. and the the transmutation in the transmutation slot.

what i'd like to see if the following:

- Select enchant type. (of the possible enchantable item types) there are several types.

"General" enchants can be used on any item
"Apparel" enchants can only be used on armor, shields, and jewelery
"Weapon" enchants can be used on any weapon except staffs.
"Mage Staff" enchants can only be used on magic staffs.
"Transmutation" Only for weapons. (bows not in-game atm)

- Type of enchant (Formula/Transmute)
- Name result (for example +damage has as result "keennes"wink
- Effect result (+damage if the name is keenness)
- Catalyst (1 of the 3, you only need 1 catalyst. always.)
- Ingredients 1, 2 and 3. (you need 5x a certain ingredient and 3 different ingredients so setting ammount is unneeded you always need 3x5)


ingredients can be mixed matched but the result is the lowest common demeanor. if you use q1 and q2 ingredients mixed, he result is a q1 enchant.

that is the reason i'd like to see a full tree of results.

Heart - Bile - cinder
Hag Heart - Sarlid Bile - Reptile Cinder
etc..
etc..
etc..

and if these are more of the same type like "serverii bone" and " Gaint bone" both should be included.


i hope to have explained waht i mean so far - i'd love to help on this.

Ah ok, thankyou Temko, i've mainly been doing transmutes so far so wasnt 100% on the formula 1 & formula 2 thing.

I see the reason for the ingredient list but im not sure its possible atm, to put it together manually would be a pain and to automate it would be a fair bit of work for fire goths but it may be possible to implement at a later date

I'll talk to fire goths and see what is possible (i dont want to over work him wink) and i don't think he will have a problem with granting you a higher level of access so its easier for you to contribute
